Kinja FC Boys Development
Overview
The Kinja Development Centre is what makes Kinja Football Club different. We as a club put a lot more focus into how to effectively develop a child into a technically and tactically brilliant young player. This is part of our "Entry Phase" within the Kinja Football Pathway. The Kinja Development Centre is open for boys and girls, of all ages and abilities. The main competition for the children is to better themselves each week, as we take out the "fear factor" that comes with new players to the game.
What We Focus On
The Kinja Development Centre puts emphasis on individual training, ensuring that each player has a ball at their feet for the entirety of the session, practicing different movements with the ball, using both feet, before adding the challenging aspect into it by challenging the players to 1v1's and 2v2's, where they can develop their decision making, having just learnt a range of new skills and movements.
This programme will then allow for players to be technically exceptional, before beginning to learn the tactical side of the game, as they enter our competitive teams at the U9 age group. Having technically competent players in a team environment, not only makes things a lot easier for us as coaches, but the players enjoy learning about the game a lot more, as they have the competency to understand and master more advanced aspects of football.
League & Matches
The Kinja Development Centre do not play outside matches against other teams, and are not part of a league. However, very small sided games [1v1's and 2v2's] will take place within training to develop all of our players' technical ability in an environment that will challenge them to improve.
