Kinja FC Youth Girls
Overview
The Kinja Youth Girls teams take our female players through the Development, Progression & Competitive Phases of the Kinja Football Pathway. With a number of teams that represent Kinja Football Club within the Capital Girls League, our girls will learn to take the technical and core foundations that they have learned within our Kinja FC Girls Wildcats Centre and put it into a team environment with other players who will bring their skills to the team.
What We Focus On
Within the Development Phase of our girls' journey through our youth teams, they begin to understand the concepts involved with playing as part of a team, understanding basic decision making, and various situations within a game that can present them with decision making moments, and how they can work with their team mates to overcome the obstacles and challenges that are presented within the game, as well as gain a basic understanding of the different positions on the football pitch.
After the Development Phase, players progress to the Progression Phase whereby they are taught about deeper aspects of football, such as the roles and responsibilities of players in each position, as well as basic tactical systems, with a view to play to perform, with a view to achieve success as a by-product of good performances as a team.
Finally, our players then reach the Competitive Phase where they delve into a much deeper understanding of the various tactical systems that can be played in football, which systems can counter various systems that the opposition could set up with, and the strengths/weaknesses of each. Players take responsibility of taking ownership on the pitch with the knowledge and skills they have learned throughout their progression with Kinja Football Club, to provide consistently good performances as a team, achieving success as a by-product of consistently good performances.
League & Matches
Our girls teams all play within the Capital Girls League, in 5-a-side, 7-a-side, 9-a-side and 11-a-side formats. Fixtures will be organised by the Capital Girls League as part of a "league" where each team will be played twice, once at our home venue, and once at an away venue.
Matches will be played on Saturday mornings.
